Framework. An Examination into the Plan was held in June 2014 by an
Independent Planning Inspector. The Inspector has now found the Plan

Housing Supply in Stockton on Tees

"More than 3,200 new homes are to be built in Stockton in the next five years - but the borough is STILL falling short of controversial housing targets.
Under the Government’s new planning rules Stockton is facing a five year target of 3,635 new homes by June 2019.
But a new report predicts just 3,235 dwellings are expected to be built during that time from planning permissions already granted.
Even taking into account new sites the council has resolved to open up to potential housing, as well as land “unexpectedly becoming available”, the estimated shortfall is still nearly 100 homes" (source Evening Gazette).
